I want to encourage you to be consecrated to the Lord in 2026. As the nation of Israel crossed the Jordan, they set up camp in a city called Gilgal. And Gilgal means “rolled away.” God rolled away the reproach of the nation of Israel, the reproach of Egypt from off of Israel.
God wants us to be separated. He wants us to be holy. He wants us to be consecrated. In fact, when Joshua told the nation of Israel they were going to cross Jordan, he said, “Sanctify yourselves, for tomorrow the Lord’s going to do wonders.” And when they got to Gilgal, they took 12 stones from the midst of the Jordan and made a memorial there. They consecrated their lives there. They’re observing the Passover, and they’re remembering God’s provision. They’re grateful for how God had provided for them.
There needs to be time every day of our lives where we set ourselves apart for the Lord. We spend time in His word. We let the word of God cleanse us. And we commit ourselves and consecrate our lives for His purpose.
And so I want to challenge you in 2026 to serve the Lord in a way that’s so consecrated that your desires are His desires. Your focus is His focus, looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith.
