Happy New Year, and welcome to 2026. I’m excited about the New Year; I trust you are as well. I want to encourage you to be a person of action in 2026.

When I think about the nation of Israel in the book of Joshua, I love the fact that they’re crossing the Jordan, conquering the Promised Land. It’s symbolic of the Christian life, living in victory. We have spiritual battles that we’re going to face in 2026, but I want to encourage you to be a person of action.

In Joshua chapter 3, verse 14, the people removed from their tents. I thought about that, and I thought, you know how sad, that for 40 years they found themselves, maybe not in the exact same location in the wilderness, but they were in fact in their tents and still in the wilderness for 40 years. They had to come out of their tents. They had to get their feet wet in the Jordan before God pulled the waters back. They had to walk by faith and not by sight.

You see, faith moves us to action, and I want to encourage you to be that kind of a person. A lot of times in 2026, the year in which we live, people walk by sight and they want to call it faith. But God desires of you and I to walk by faith and not by sight.
