What is a commandment? Well, we know in the Bible that God gave the 10 commandments. The word of God is filled with commandments. Commandments are rules; they’re directions from an authority.
And God came to the people of Israel in Exodus and gave them so many things that they could govern their lives by and be blessed. But in Deuteronomy 6, the Bible says, “Now these are the commandments, the statutes, the judgments which the Lord your God commanded to teach you that ye might do them in the land.”
The question is today, are we doing what God has commanded? We know the rules, we know the regulations, we know what he’s told us to do, but we are of an obligation to obey a holy God. Do what God commands today.
