Good morning. We are in the book of Malachi—Malachi, however you’d like to pronounce it—Chapter three, verse 10. Verse 10 says the following: “Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith,” saith the Lord of hosts, “if I will not open you the windows of heaven.”

That’s a blessing. That’s what we want—the windows of heaven open and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it. My cup overflows because the Lord continuously gives. One of the ways that the Lord gives to us—and I know it’s not necessarily always about ‘give me, give me, give me,’ right, although it is nice—but to have the blessing of the Lord, one of the ways we can do that with our first fruits, offering our first fruits and having good substance, is by giving our tithe.

I can tell you from personal experience, it’s such a blessing. You know, if you drive, you can relate to this. Whenever I tithe, it always feels like my gas lasts longer. You know, I feel like I’m not having to go to the doctor as often, maybe spend money on a doctor’s appointment, or things don’t tend to break. You know, tithing is very important.

I hope that today we’ll take into consideration and really dig deep and think about this: tithing, being faithful to tithe. You know, it’s what we owe to the Lord. Give Him your first fruits today.
