Good morning. Thank you for tuning in once again. We’re in Psalm chapter 37. Today we’re going to be taking a look at verses 6 and 7.

Verse 6 says the following, “And he shall bring forth thy righteousness as the light, and thy judgment as the noonday.”

Verse 7, “Rest in the Lord, and wait patiently for him.” I’m not going to lie, it was hard to wait at times. In fact, in order for some of my desires for the Lord to fulfill them, and you know what? Honestly, he didn’t have to. But he did. He didn’t necessarily have to do that. But I claim this promise, “Delight thyself also in the Lord, and he shall give thee the desires of thine heart.” And so it took a while, but when you wait patiently for him, you can’t go wrong. And the next part says, “Fret not thyself.” That word fret is more kind of like, it’s kind of like worried, worrisome, and not too sure, kind of faltering a little bit. But that fret not, and because the Bible says that God has not given us the spirit of fear, he’s not given us… us that spirit at all, so why fret? Fret not thyself because of him who prospers in his way, because of the man who bringeth wicked devices to pass. In my past, I was kind of envious a little bit of those that were living in the world that were able to do such thing, but don’t fret yourself about that. The Lord has not given us that spirit at all. If I can encourage you today, rest and wait patiently, wait patiently in the Lord.
