I want to challenge you today: don’t give up on prayer. You see, I’ve been praying for years. I’ve been praying for months. I’ve been agonizing for decades, praying, praying, and praying. And it seems like the answer has not come. I want to challenge you: don’t give up on praying. Pray another prayer. Go back to God another time. Seek His face another time. Get in the closet another time. Approach the throne another time. Let your request be made known unto God another time.

Don’t give up on praying. And here’s the reason why. Have you ever considered this? Most of our prayers represent people. Most of the things we pray about and we pray for, they are in regards to somebody that we care about. And in essence, if you give up on that prayer, you give up on that person. And I want to challenge you: don’t you give up on that person. Don’t you stop praying.

The Bible says in 1 Samuel chapter two, let’s go back, actually chapter number one, verse number 27. This is Hannah speaking of God answering her prayer for a child. “For this child, I prayed.” She prayed for Samuel. She was praying for that baby. God answered her prayer. She prayed and she prayed and it was hard and it was bitter and she was accused and she was attacked, yet she prayed on. And God answered her prayer.

Today, you might be weary. You’ve been praying for that son, you’ve been praying for that daughter, you’ve been praying for that spouse, you’ve been praying for that friend, you’ve been praying for that prodigal, you’ve been praying for that lost person, you’ve been praying for that one who’s sick. And it seems like God is not hearing your prayer. And you say, “I’m not gonna do it again.” Don’t you do that. If you give up on prayer, you give up on the person. And as long as there’s breath in the body, there’s hope for the soul. And I want you to continue, please do continue in prayer. God hears and answers our prayer in His time, in His way, and it’s always right.

Don’t give up on prayer because you might be giving up on a person. I hope this has been a help in your Christian life today.
