In the book of Nehemiah today, by the way, thank you for listening and watching. Today in Nehemiah chapter 2, yesterday we saw that Nehemiah heard of the condition of his city, and it just broke his heart. The Bible says in chapter 2, “So I came to Jerusalem. I was there three days. I rose in the night and told no man that was with me.” You know, when trials come, really the best is just to walk alone with God. Don’t put it on the internet. Don’t blast it all over America. Don’t tell the whole world everything that’s going on. But turn your eyes upon Jesus, sweet hour of prayer that calls me from a world of care.
He got up at nighttime, and for several days he just observed the situation. A lot of times in life, I’ve found in my own life if I just slow down and calm down, God will not only give me direction but a lot of times he’ll answer the need before I will try to handle the need. And it’s always the right way. His way is always the best way. Spend some time alone with God today. Observe the situation and then see in time how God gives you direction. Have a great day!
