Welcome to Help For Today. We’re in John chapter number four this morning. It’s probably one of the favorite, one of my favorite passages in all of the Bible. It’s the account of the woman at the well and Jesus offering to her living water.
She goes throughout the city and in verse number 29 of chapter four, the Bible says, the woman speaks and she says, “‘Come, see a man which told me all things that ever I did. Is not this the Christ?'”
You see this woman, she went throughout this city. She had been with Jesus. Jesus knew her social standing. Jesus knew the sin in her life. Jesus knew about all the husbands that she had had in her previous life and yet he still offered to her that living water.
And to me, that brings hope today because for me, I realized that God knew about my past. He knew about my problems. He knew about my parents. He knew about my pride and yet God loved me so much that he still offered me that living water.
May you and I today as we go throughout our journey, may we never get over the fact that God loves us. He died for us, and He saved us from a life of sin.
