We’re in the book of Judges for help for today this week. And we’ve gone through verse number one, verse number two in finding an area of service. But now we look at verse number three in Judges 1, verse 3. The Bible says, “And Judah said unto Simeon his brother, ‘Come up with me.'” You know, God had called the tribe of Judah to go into the land of Canaan first after the death of Joshua. God called the tribe of Judah and you know what Judah does? Judah says, “Simeon, his brother, come with me.” They were afraid. They didn’t want to go first. They didn’t want to do it alone. And sometimes that happens to us. Sometimes we get afraid maybe in our area of service.

We don’t know what God’s gonna do for us. And we don’t know how he’s gonna fulfill his work or his plan. And so sometimes we get afraid. You know, I am deathly afraid of some things in this life. I’m not gonna give it away. I’m not gonna tell you what I’m afraid of, but there are some things that I’m afraid of. There are some things that cause fear. Sometimes that’s a natural thing, but I’ll tell you this, that God hath not given us the spirit of fear. Fear and we don’t have to be afraid. You know, the tribe of Judah didn’t need Simeon to go into the Promised Land and fulfill the work that God had called them to do. My challenge this morning is simple. Don’t be afraid.

God has called you to work and if He has called you to that work, He will meet the needs that you have in your life. You don’t need to worry about it. You don’t need to wonder about it. You don’t need to be afraid of it. God can meet those areas of need in our own life in that area of service that God has called you. So don’t be afraid. God has a work for you.
