I love the Christmas season. Christmas is a wonderful time of the year. It means a Christmas musical play. It means a Christmas tree, gifts and more gifts and more gifts. It means decorated homes. I hope your home’s decorated, you know. It means light shows and Christmas in the park and shopping and emptying your bank account and on and on it goes. Or a sacrifice or a happy soul Christmas and so many, so many avenues.

But I love Christmas time and we have that song. It’s the most wonderful time of the year. You know in our home Christmas by far, maybe you could say amen to this, is our favorite, favorite, favorite season. We look forward to this time of the year when we can hang around and around the fireplace maybe sipping on your favorite drink you know hot chocolate or tea and it means a decorated home it means Christmas music and playing on KNVBC can I hear an amen right there the smell of fresh Christmas tree if you have a fresh Christmas tree and candles and it means a lot of things. Christmas is a wonderful, wonderful time of the year but you know what the real essence of Christmas is this: you’ll find it in the root word of Christmas, it’s Christ. It’s all about him. Christmas is all about Christ, yes it’s a season of giving, yes it’s a season of wrapping presents and traveling perhaps and hosting and memories but it’s all about him.

Isaiah chapter 9, verse number 6, the Bible says, “For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given, and the government shall be upon his shoulder, and his name,” I like this part, “shall be called Wonderful, the Mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace.” Merry Christmas to you!
