Hello, friends, and welcome to Help for Today. This week, I want to spend some time with you in the book of Nehemiah, specifically Nehemiah 1-3. The Bible says that he hears, Nehemiah hears, as he’s a cupbearer, he’s a prisoner of war, if you could say. I know the battle’s all over. But he said he received word that the remnant that were left in the captivity of Jerusalem, the walls were broken down, there’s destruction, and he heard these things. He sat down, he wept, he prayed, he fasted, he mourned.

I want to just remind you today that in life, we have to learn how to deal with difficult situations. You might be in one right now, or today, a difficult situation may arise. Normally, it’s good just to sit down, be still. He sat down, he wept, nothing wrong with that emotion. He fasted, he prayed, and he was just in despair over the situation. But you’re going to find out that he went to prayer. And if we could just learn not to react, and not to say things that will really hurt the situation, but to trust in the Lord with all thine heart.

Hope you have a great day today. That’s Nehemiah 1.3 and 1.4. Take a look at it today if you would.
