I know we’ve enjoyed Thanksgiving together. You had turkey, right? None of this steak and ham. Ham’s for Christmastime.

I hope you had a great day counting your blessings. I hope you’re with friends and relatives and loved ones and I hope it was a great day.

But now we’re in the last week. I don’t want to finish off this month without thinking about being thankful today.

Psalm 95 verse 2, I’m to come into his presence with Thanksgiving. You know when I pray sometimes I catch myself. It’s almost like a give me, give me, give me, give me, give me. And I know prayer is asking. I know that. But I read these prayers in the Bible. Most of the prayers were not just bestowing on me.

And I wonder if we can realize that we come into God’s presence. I believe we ought to come in with some preparation. Come to his presence with Thanksgiving. Lord, I want to thank you for another night that you preserved me and you kept my heart while I was sleeping. My heart was pumping. You watched, cared over us. We were safe in our home.

God, my family is safe today. I want to thank you for letting the sun to shine up today. Soon it’s going to be up today. I want to thank you for the way you’re going to protect us and guide us and convict us and shield us and all that you do. What a mighty God we serve.

Let’s come into his presence, not with anger, not with frustration, not with hopelessness, but let’s come. Today, please come with Thanksgiving.

Have a wonderful day.
