Today, I bring to you thanking God for his people- people that God has placed in your life. The Apostle Paul, here in the book of Romans, is talking about Priscilla and Aquila, this couple. Listen to verse 4: “Who have laid, have my life laid down their own necks, whom I give thanks.” Paul said, “I’m giving thanks for this couple.” Today, let’s go through the list of people- God’s people- in your church. I want to thank (and just go through alphabetically) the letter A: you have Andersons in your church, you have Browns in your church. They have letter C: you have Cox’s in your church. Letter D, whatever it go, just go through the alphabet- all the people that you have.
Go through the workers in your church, think of the nursery workers and the choir members, where they stand in the orchestra, and think of the pastors, and think of the couples, and just think of people, think of your family- God’s people- your own family that is saved. But today, Paul made it very clear: “I’m going to give thanks for this couple.” I have so many people that have invested in my life. Many are on the other side; I still thank God for them. Let’s have a day of giving thanks for the people of God that have been investing in our lives- some for days, weeks, months, years, decades.
