I want to thank you for listening to Helpful Today, and I know perhaps I’m wearing you out this month with Thanksgiving. I hope not. I want my heart to just be thankful all the time, not just at Thanksgiving or at this time of the season, the year.

Psalm 147 says, “Sing unto the Lord with thanksgiving. Sing praise upon a harp unto our God.” You know, if you have an instrument, let your instrument be played with thanksgiving. If you have a voice, when you sing, use your voice to give thanks to God.

We sing sometimes at Thanksgiving, “Come ye thankful people, come raise the song of harvest home.” All is safe. You look at Thanksgiving, it is the close of another year. This means that, and now we’re on the close of November, all of January, February, March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, November… 11 months. Look how good God’s been.

Let’s play our instruments with thanksgiving. Let’s use our voices to sing with thanksgiving.

Have a wonderful day.
