Today, we see our final attributes of good soldiers. There’s a lot more we could cover, but these are just a few. But today, I want us to understand a good soldier always takes care of fallen comrades.
You know, historically, many of the most highly decorated individuals in the military, those awards were given for their valor and their heroism in seeking to rescue somebody else and help somebody else. You know, the Bible in Galatians chapter six, verse one, says, “Brethren, if a man be overtaken in a fall, ye which are spiritual, restore such in one in the spirit of meekness, considering thyself, lest thou also be tempted.”
You know, if we’re gonna be good soldiers, we have to help people when they fall and get them back up and get them back into the battle. And let’s work on that. And then one final attribute we’ll throw out here today is Ephesians 6, 12, knowing our enemy. The Bible says we don’t fight against flesh and blood, but against principalities and powers. Are we fighting the wrong battles amongst ourselves maybe? We have a greater battle to fight, and we all have to be on the same team. And so let’s work at these attributes of being a good soldier this week. What a great, great opportunity we have to be soldiers in God’s army.
