Here’s a tremendous thought on redemption. And I thought from the book of Ruth, in Ruth chapter four, verse four, “to advertise thee, buy it before the inhabitants. If that will redeem it, redeem it. But if that will not redeem it, then tell me that I may redeem it.” I love this passage because it speaks of redemption and continues to go on further in redemption.
To redeem is to purchase back. I love that we are not redeemed with corruptible things like silver and gold as received from the vain tradition of your fathers, but by the precious blood of Jesus redeemed. How I love to proclaim it. Redeemed by the blood of the Lamb. Redeemed through his infinite mercy, his child and forever I am. God reached down and redeemed my sorry soul so many decades ago. And I want you to know that today you have been redeemed if you’re saved.
To proclaim it. Let’s spend some time today thanking our God for the redemption we find in Jesus Christ, our Savior. Have a great day!
