“But this I say, He which soweth sparingly shall reap also sparingly; and he which soweth bountifully shall reap also bountifully.” 2 Corinthians 9:6
The Scriptures are replete with many references to the principle of sowing and reaping. In all those verses, you will find that there must first be sowing before there can be any reaping. We should not expect to reap without first sowing.
Wise farmers have long had a saying: Don’t eat your seed corn. The expression teaches that all the seed that comes through a farmer’s hand has the potential of being planted or being eaten. In order to make sure that there will be a harvest the following year, the farmer must not eat all the seeds.
As we are in this harvest season of the year, would you consider the seeds that God has allowed to go through your hand? In order to have an eternal harvest in Heaven, may I admonish all of us to not eat all the seed. Invest what God has given you in God’s harvest field.
