This week, we begin the book of 1 Samuel. In 1 Samuel chapter 1 and 2, listen to what the Bible said: “and she in bitterness of soul prayed.” Of course, this is where Hannah was praying for a child. In verse number 12, “And it came to pass as she continued praying.” In verse number 27, “for this child I have prayed.” In chapter 2, verse number 1, “and Hannah prayed.”
You know, prayer is a wonderful treasure. Prayer is just coming to God and saying, “I can’t, but you can.” Prayer is saying, “I’m helpless, but not hopeless, because there’s a God in heaven.” And today, would you pray? God’s Word says, “continue in prayer. Pray without ceasing. Men ought always,” Luke 18:1, “pray and not faint.” To prayer, prayer is coming boldly to the throne of grace. And not always about yourself, but the needs of others as well. Today, pray about yourself, yes. But could I ask you to think about the needs of others and dedicate your life to pray this day for others on the journey of life.
Have a wonderful day.
