Chapter 15 of 1st Samuel. We mentioned yesterday how Saul in the Old Testament had such a good beginning and a terrible end. In chapter 15, he was to utterly destroy what God told him to destroy. But he saved the best for himself, and he said it for the people, and God asked him, “What means the bleeding of the sheep? I hear sheep,” and God said, “It’s better to obey than to sacrifice.” The key word today for you and for me, Jack Traber, obey today. Just obey.

Obey the Spirit of God. When God says no, then it’s no. And you say, “Well, how do I know?” If you’re saved, Romans chapter 8, if you’re saved, the Holy Spirit will tell you, “No, don’t do that.” You’ll know. Jim D. Cricket says a small voice, “Oh no.” It’s the Spirit of God speaking to you. And if the Spirit of God says go witness to that man, go as Philip did and take the gospel to the Ethiopian eunuch. May I say today, let’s obey. Obey the Spirit of God. Obey every spiritual impulse on the journey of life. Have a great day.
