We’re trying to give you tips to use your cell phone for good and not destroy your life. Too many times, I’m afraid we let our kids have a device, and we put nothing to protect them. We’re very overprotective at times with them out in public, making sure that they’re not messing up or doing anything dangerous. But are you giving them what would be just like giving them a high-caliber rifle without any training, without any guardrails, without any safety?

May I encourage you to, number one, put a content filter on your phone and on your kid’s phone. You could download content filters. You could have the default content filters. And then, number two, may I encourage you yourself and your kids to use a cell phone in a public place. Your kids should not go into their room and close the door and be on their cell phone. It should be in a public place because we don’t want them to destroy their lives with their cell phone.
