Joseph has been sold into bondage by his brothers. He has gone to the prison, he’s gone to the palace, he’s gone to a pit – just an awful situation, away from his dad all these decades. And yet he rose to the beast’s second command and gathered his brothers together, put them in order.

“Reuben, you sit here first, and Simeon, you sit here, and Judah, you sit,” he put them all in order. They marveled, and he said this, “I love reading this text, chapter 45, verse 3, ‘I am Joseph.'”

Maybe today’s the day we need to get some things right with our God, with ourselves, and with others. Admit who you are, Jacob had to do that, but today, this is a positive thing – I’m Joseph, God sent me here for you. Have a good day.
