Chapter 29, 1st Chronicles. And by the way, in the weeks to follow real soon, I’m gonna continue this. I love doing it, but I’ve asked 12 of my men to each take a week as well. You’re gonna love them—godly men from the school, from the college, from the church, from the ministry here. But I’ll be with you again by God’s grace next week and for a few more weeks. We’ll get them going.

But Chapter 29 and verse 14, and this is the giving. Equals joy. Listen to what it says, “But who am I and what is my people that we should be able to offer so willing after this sort? For all things come from thee, and of thine own power.” And then he said, it speaks of his heart in verse 17, his heart again, “And I have seen with the joy thy people. You know when you invest in something that’s gonna last. It’s an amazing privilege.”

In 1981, 82, and 83, we were building a building at our other properties. At that time, 32,000 square feet, it’s now 66. You know, I go over there every Wednesday to preach chapel, elementary chapel. I just get in the first floor there and then I get out. I was there for the school opening of the open house the other day with my wife. And I went through that building, and I’ll tell you what, every square inch of that building brought me such joy. I lived in Blue Jeans for two years as we built that building, and we worked day and night, even after church on Wednesday nights. And that investment has produced joy 43, 42, and 41 years later. Invest in the work of God. Do that today. That’s our help for today.
