Today is our last day in the book of Nehemiah, and we’ll go next week to Esther, and I get to be with you another week, and I appreciate all the men that are recording these for us. But today I’m in chapter 13.
In chapter 13, we talked about Tobiah moving into the house of God yesterday, but verse number 8, it grieved me sore. You know, in the beginning of the book, chapter 1, it grieved him that Jerusalem was laying waste. Somebody had to do something about it. But when Tobiah moved into the house of God, that grieved him. It’s okay to be grieved over situations that are difficult. I think of how when people lose a loved one and they pass away, go to heaven. You still need to grieve. There’s nothing wrong with grief. But there’s something wrong when you can see… wrong in the church or wrong in my life and it doesn’t grieve us.
I want us to take our lives and examine them today and see what is it in my life I should be grieving over and change in my life. And I hope that you’ll have a good weekend serving God. God bless each of you.
