My Bible says in 2 Kings 20, “Thus saith the Lord,” verse 1, “Set thine house in order for thou shalt die and not live.” If this was my last day, if this was your last day, what do we have to set in order? Wife, please, I want to be right with you. Husband, I want to be right with you. Children, parents, God, I want to be right with you. What needs to be purged out of our refrigerator? What needs to be purged out of our closets? What needs to be purged in my own personal life? What needs to be purged off my phone? I don’t need that there. May I say that day that if we knew we were dying today, what would we do?

I’ve tried to make it so that when my life comes to an end, rather prolonged or abrupt, I’ve tried to make it easy that my children will know exactly what to do. It’s written down. Here’s what you do first and second all the way through. Old friend, set your house in order.

Today would be a good day to do that for you and for me. Have a great day.
