In 2 Kings chapter 22, we have the story of Josiah. He was 8 years of age when he became the king. I really love to read it from 2 Chronicles 34 because it says his age in verse 1, and verse 2 in that particular text. It says, “After 8 years, he began to purge the house of God.” Here’s the key: he was a 16-year-old boy. Do you know, teenager today, that you can make some decisions in your life that could last a lifetime?

Life pivots from single decisions. Life often pivots from single conversations. Life often pivots from single actions. And may this day we realize, though I’m young, maybe young in the Lord, though I’m young as a child or teenager, or though I’m young as a mate, today I’m going to decide that I’m going to make sure that things are proper even as a 16-year-old kid.

Whether you’re 16 or 96, may this be a great day. God bless each of you.
