We’re in the book of 1st Chronicles this week, and David finds himself in chapter 11. He was at war with Saul’s family. Really, Saul was at war with David, but he inherited this situation. Here he is with this man, and David one night just said this. He said in verse 17, “David longed and said, ‘Oh, that one would give me a drink of the water of the well of Bethlehem.'” He had such a desire, a desire for Bethlehem. But he cried out, and you know the story. Those men went, and they hazarded their lives for another.
My strong suggestion today is let you and I invest our lives in other people today. I encourage you to just find somebody. Look all around you.
