Throughout the book of Psalms, we find how to thank the Lord. And we saw on Monday, thank him in song. And yesterday, thank him for his mercy. Let’s, I love my hospital psalm, Psalm 86. Thank him because he’s good. He’s just. What a good God. Have you ever seen these statues of these foreign gods? They’re normally large and overweight, and they look evil. And they don’t look very pleasant. Oh, our God is a good God.
“The Lord is good, tell it wherever you go. The Lord is good, tell it that others may know. Tell of his mercy and tell of his love. Tell of his coming from heaven above. The Lord is good, tell it wherever you go.” You know, I was in a hardware store, and I talked about three different people, and maybe more than that come to think of it, but I know for three for sure. It’s two or three inside the store, one outside. And I just gave them a gospel tract and started talking about how good God is. And you know, except for one, and he was just passing me in the aisle, they all told me, “God is good,” and then they said to me, “God bless you, pastor. You have a good day.”
I want to walk around telling people that God’s good. He’s still on the throne. This month of Thanksgiving, let’s thank God that he’s a good God. Have a great day.
