For most of the year of 2020, we have been living in very trying times. Some might even say they are days of great discouragement and maybe depression. I am reminded in God’s Word of Psalm 150:6 “Let everything that hath breath praise the Lord. Praise ye the Lord.” God commands us to praise Him, to glorify God. We are told over 260 times in the Bible to praise the Lord.
We can praise Him by:
- Singing – Psalm 100:2 – “Serve the Lord with gladness; come before his presence with singing.”
- Words – Psalm 109:30 – “I will greatly praise the Lord with my mouth; yea, I will praise him among the multitude.”
- Instruments – Psalm 150:4 – “Praise him with the timbrel and dance: praise him with stringed instruments and organs.”
- Fellowship – Psalm 149:1 – “Praise ye the Lord. Sing unto the Lord a new song, and his praise in the congregation of the saints.”
We might not have the power to change our circumstances, but we do have the power to praise the Lord! Let today be a day of praise to our God, for He has proved Himself worthy of our praise.
