Good morning. I come to you in the book of Proverbs, chapter 13, and verse 20. We’re talking about the different counselors in my life and in your life as well. It really could be for all ages. We can never be too old to have counselors in our life. And so I’d like you to read this verse to you. Proverbs chapter 13, verse 20 says, “He that walketh with the wise men shall be wise, but a companion of fools shall be destroyed.” I want to walk with the wise men.

The Bible calls young men and myself simple. And it doesn’t mean that we don’t know anything. It’s just simply we don’t have that much experience under our belts. So I want to look to somebody who has more experience. And one of those individuals that has helped me through life is my pastor, your pastor back home. Ask your pastor different questions. Seek his advice. Seek the missus’ advice as well. His wife as well for you ladies. It’s very important that we look to those individuals that the Lord has placed in our life. The pastor has helped me with so many different decisions that I’ve made in my life. He knows you. He’s a shepherd. The Lord has placed him in the church to help you, in that position to help you. Not to hurt you, but he’s looking for your well-being. He’s looking down the road. He’s looking in the future, and he’s there to help you. The Bible says that he is our shepherd, that the Lord has placed him there to help us. And when making important decisions, it’s always important that you consult with your pastor.

But whenever you seek that help from your pastor, it’s very important that you also listen to the counsel that he’s given to you, that he’s most likely prayed about, and that the Lord has led him to guide you with that counsel on whatever the situation is. But God has placed him in your life for a reason. You can trust your pastor 100% and know that he’s been placed there to help and guide you.
