Today, we’re gonna be talking about dedication. We’ve been mentioning all the different items and how to improve on our goals. And the week of February, the month of February, how are we doing? How are we doing on our goals? But we have to have dedication. When we set a realistic goal, when we have something that we wanna accomplish and we set a realistic goal, we have to be dedicated.

This is not only a biblical principle, and obviously Paul says in 1 Corinthians that we are to place our body under subjection. What does that mean? Our body does not get to dictate what we do. Our body has a lot of desires, our body has a lot of wants that it wants to do. Hey, when I pass by the break room and I smell those freshly baked, great, fluffy, sweet cinnamon rolls that are in there in the morning time, and I’m supposed to be getting my work done, I know I’m not supposed to eat them, but man, those cinnamon rolls are calling. But hey, I have to be dedicated. I have to be telling my body, no, I’m not gonna have that, no, I’m not gonna do that. And I have to be dedicated.

The same thing is true for every area of our life. We have to have dedication. Dedication is not something that comes naturally. Dedication is not something that comes easily. But every single person is able to be dedicated. If we are able to tell ourselves no, we place our body under subjection. Under subjection of what? Number one, the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit gets to dictate what we do in life. And number two is our mind, our will. Our will is stronger than our body. And so I want to encourage us today to be dedicated to those goals, those baby step goals, every one at a time, but be dedicated today and accomplish them.
