Good morning, for HealthWorks Today. This week, we’re gonna be talking about campaigns, church campaigns, bus route campaigns, things to get some life into your church, because there’s a few things that campaigns do for us, and for our church, and for our members, and for visitors, and so we’re gonna be talking about that this week.

For our fall campaign here at North Valley Baptist Church, we are doing Harvest Time, and we have split the church into four teams, and each team has a different captain, different leader. I get to be the captain of the Harvest Heroes, and so we are excited about demolishing all of the other teams. I have no problem. It’s gonna be so great to watch the other teams just wallow in defeat. I am very excited about it, and that’s actually the very first thing that campaigns do for us. It brings excitement. It brings life. It brings energy. It does something for our church.

Now, church leaders, you need to be excited. You need to be ready to go. You need to bring the energy, and you need to bring the enthusiasm. I can tell you this, that people are not gonna get excited about it, they’re not gonna get more excited about it than you are. You are gonna be the most excited one about it, and I can tell you this, we have some dumb ideas. We got some terrible ideas around here, but they’re exciting ideas, they’re awesome. They are so incredible, and we get so behind it, it’s so amazing.

You know, I cook sometimes for my kids, we make them breakfast, we make them lunches and things like that, and it does not matter how good the meal is, it only matters, because no matter how good the meal is, they still don’t get excited about it. They say, “ah, I don’t wanna eat this,” or “I don’t like this,” and they haven’t even had it yet. That’s sometimes what happens for things that we try to do in the church, where no matter how good it is, they just don’t get excited about it, and the reason is, because we’re not excited about it.

Now, church members, I’m listening to you right now, church members, you also need to get excited about it. We need to go ahead and just be behind our leaders, we need to be enthusiastic, we need to be going forward. Campaigns bring life to the church. So I challenge you this, when you have a campaign, when you have an event, when you have something going on, bring life, bring the energy, bring enthusiasm, get behind it, go full forward, and I guarantee you it’ll help you at your church.
