I love this text here in Chapter 2, Verse number 10, and the angel said to them, “Fear not.” To fear not, just like that, fear not is 63 times in the Bible. But fear ye not, or the word fear, 457 times. God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of might and a sound mind.
Would you realize today that fear doesn’t come from God? Fear is when we remove faith. Faith gives us courage. Today, don’t cause another life to be fearful. Cause another life, when you leave their presence, to have more faith, more joy.
An elderly, white-haired English teacher, 53, 54 years ago, taught me that verse in English class in college. And she said, “I don’t know why I’m stopping. My husband was a preacher, he’s passed away in Chicago.” And she said that day, “I’m gonna give you a verse, young people, carry it with you. 2 Timothy 1:7, God has not given us the spirit of fear, but of power and of might.”
Don’t lead your life, white-haired sweet little lady, with a shaky little voice like mine. Don’t let your life be led today by fear. Have faith in God. Have a wonderful day. God bless you.
