Welcome back. Thank you for joining in today. I come to you from Psalm chapter 37, verse 5, this morning. The Bible says, “Commit thy way unto the Lord. Trust also in him, and he shall bring it to pass.” You can’t go wrong by committing your way to the Lord. Trust in him. He knows you better than anybody. He knows you better than you think you know yourself.
Growing up, my youth pastor would always say, you know, heed to your parents’ counsel. Listen to your parents. They know you better sometimes than you know yourself. But the one that created you is the one who knows you the best. Commit thy way to him. Give him the first fruits of your life, and he will never, ever give you second place. We may have to settle for second place because of our own decisions, but the Lord doesn’t want to give us second. He doesn’t want to give us second place. He wants to give us that first, and that desire that only he can give if we delight thyself in the Lord, if we commit our way to him.
