Happiest Thanksgiving to all of us! As we enjoy this day with our family and friends around the dining table, I have a verse for all of us. “Psalm 106, Verse number one: ‘Praise ye the Lord! Oh, give thanks unto the Lord, for He is good; for His mercy endureth forever.'” You know, that word ‘praise’ is an interesting word. It’s an expression of gratitude. Praise is an expression of the recipient of blessings to the giver of blessings. Praise is a grateful voice of the blessed. And by the way, if you say amen right there, you’re speaking to the benevolent giver.

“What is praise? Praise is the joyful melody of gratitude serenading the generous Provider.” The Bible says, “Let men praise the Lord for His goodness, and for His wonderful works to the children of men,” (Psalm 107, Verse number 8). As we celebrate this wonderful Thanksgiving Day, let’s continue to praise the Lord God Almighty. Not just for all He’s done – and by the way, He’s done more than we deserve – but for who He is. He’s our salvation, our Savior, our Shepherd, our shield, our song, our strength. Oh, I feel like preaching right now, but I’m not going to! He is our strong refuge (Psalm 51, Verse number 15): ‘Oh Lord, open thou my lips; and my mouth shall show forth thy praise.’

Let’s have the best Thanksgiving Day, expressing our gratitude to the One whom we need to praise. Happy Thanksgiving! Thanksgiving is a gift from God.
