All this week, we’ve been dedicated to the task of helping people. Who could we help today? How about the sick? James, it says if anybody’s sick, let them call on the elders of the church. You know, when there are people that are sick, I think you have a responsibility to let us know you’re sick.

Now, you may not want your request made known publicly, and I can understand that. But for example, if I’m your shepherd, I want to know. I don’t have to tell anybody. I’ve kept secrets. I think of some folks in our church that have a great terminal illness. For years, I’ve never told anybody. They never want me to tell. I’ve never told my wife. It’s between the shepherd and the sheep. But you know, old friend, today if you want a visit from your pastor, so well, he never stops by, well, the Bible says you ought to call him. You ought to call upon the elder. You ought to call upon let him know. But on the other hand, we, that shepherd and love people, whether it’s relatives or neighbors or friends or church members, perhaps today we could help the sick on the journey of life. Have a great day.
