Hello friends, I want to come to you today on the church as I did yesterday. I want to just pose this: why doesn’t the pastor come by my house and see me? Why doesn’t he call? I mean, doesn’t he know I’m sick? Probably doesn’t. It’s an amazing thing in a church, things…I don’t know and people expect me to know.
James 5 tells us what to do: “Is any sick, now watch this, let him…let him call upon the elders of the church.” You owe it to your pastor that you keep your pastor informed. Now let’s not be high maintenance. I have a toenail, it hurts me. Go ahead and call him if you feel that’s so important. I have a sliver, a sliver in my finger, little pieces, and it just bothers me. Well, maybe you need to call him about that. But the ball is in your court. Don’t be judgmental of your pastor. Let him know, “I’d like to have you come by if you have time and pray with me.”
