Hello friends, I’m glad to be with you today. Well, love the Lord this week, love your mate, love your children, and I think love your neighbor was one day, second day, love your church.
We have a, in 1987 we had a series here, the theme of the year was I love my church, and every week we talked about loving the church. Our Sunday school series was entitled I love my church.
You know, as I look at the word love, and I find in those churches in the book of Revelation, God has left thy first love. I don’t want to tend to church like that. I don’t know what everyone else in the church is going to do, and I believe around here they love this place, but I want them to have a pastor that loves the church.
I don’t want to come to church to get out of church this Sunday. Here it’s Friday. Stop and think about this. Get to church. I don’t want to come late. Early is what, five minutes? Oh, oh no, no, no, no time to talk to people. Get there early, talk to folks, sing the first song. Pastor says open your Bibles, open your Bibles. It’s John 3:16. I know it, I know, but open your Bible anyway.
Sing, shout, lift a hand, praise the Lord, give an offering, share a psalm book with someone, try to bring someone down the aisle, bend your knee, have prayer, love your church while you have it. God bless you. You have a great weekend.
