Unhelpful today, we find ourselves still remaining in the Christmas story. The day after Christmas, I would like to finish it up this week. “And when they had seen it—what did they see? They saw the Savior,” verse 16. They saw Mary and Joseph and the babe lying in the manger. When they had seen it, they made known abroad the same which is told them concerning the child. You know, when you love someone, you want to show everybody. You want to tell everybody.

That’s what these brides do and these grooms. They have pictures, and they post them online, and they put them in albums, and all the things they do. And they have them on canvases. They want to make it known abroad. “I’m married!” This is what graduates do. That’s what birthday celebrations do. You name it—dedications of buildings, new cars, and all of that. It’s wonderful. Why? Because you want to tell folks. You want to show folks what God’s done for you.

And when these shepherds discovered that they found the Christ child, the Redeemer, they went out with haste and made known abroad. This day, this week, next year, let’s tell the good news everywhere. Wouldn’t it be wonderful in this last week of the year? We can lead someone to Christ, or more than one. Won’t it be wonderful on the first day of the new year? We can lead someone to Christ. Let’s go with haste, do it quickly. Tell the good news and spread it around everywhere.

Have a great day.
