Good morning. I hope everyone is having a great day today. I’m coming to you from the book of Job 12, verse 12. And it says, “With the ancient is wisdom, and in length of days, understanding.” You know, you can learn a lot. You can learn a lot from those that are older than you, the senior citizens of our church. We’ve got a lot of good ones here in the church. But it’s important that we, as individuals, seek counsel from and help for their safety from those that are ancient. Those that have been down the road.
Nothing wrong with asking my peers or your friends for advice, maybe something small. But anytime you have a bigger decision, it might be a little bit more wise to ask somebody who’s had experience, who’s been down the road a little bit. So many different examples we have here at our church. I was always close to my grandparents growing up. And of course here, there are so many different individuals I can look to as well. But I remember growing up, my grandma, we went out to eat one time and my grandma said, “You know Caleb, you don’t have to go out with me, but I appreciate that you’re wanting to go.” And it wasn’t a burden for me. I enjoyed every single minute of it. But there’s something about gleaning wisdom from those that have been down the road a little bit.
So may I encourage you today to seek wisdom, to seek counsel from somebody who’s been down the road that can help you.
