I saw an article recently, and it dealt with people who have trust issues. People who have trouble putting confidence or faith in a place or a person, an entity. And there are many different reasons why somebody might have trust issues. To trust is to rely. To trust is to depend. To trust is to have faith in whatever that is you’re trusting. It’s amazing the things that we do put trust in every single day. We put trust in our car. We put trust in the food that we eat. We put trust in the bank to hold our money. And we seem to have little trouble putting trust in those things. But maybe you have trust issues or maybe you have an issue with trust, and you’ve had a hard time saying, “I can’t put faith or reliance in that.” There might be some cause for that. A lot of things in this world are not worthy of that trust. They are fluid. They’re given to change. They are apt to let you down. The best of men, they say, are men at best, and we will fail one another. But I want to remind us as Christians that we can have confidence in God.

In fact, the Bible says, “Have faith in God.” We can trust in the Lord. I want to read you a couple of verses of scripture from the book of Psalms. Psalm 5, the end of that Psalm, verse 11 and verse 12, here’s what the Bible says:

“But let all those that put their trust in thee rejoice. Let them ever shout for joy because thou defendest them. Let them also that love thy name be joyful in thee. For thou, Lord, will bless the righteous with favour; thou compass him as with a shield.”

I like what it says. All those that put their trust in thee can rejoice. You and I can live on the winning side if we know where our confidence lies, where our faith is. Faith is the victory that overcomes the world. But not just faith, it’s the object of our faith. Where do you deposit your faith? And today, if you’re living and you’re not on the top side, you don’t feel like you’re on the winning side of things, a little bit discouraged, a little bit down, a little bit defeated, I want to ask you, where are you anchoring your faith? Where’s your trust? Do you have trust issues?

Let’s put our trust in God. We can trust Him. He’s never failed. He’s never let us down. He’s never fallen short. God is faithful. He’s dependable. He abideth faithful and He does all things well. All those who trust in God have reason to rejoice today.

Well, I hope this has been a blessing to your Christian life and a help to you today. Thank you for tuning in.
