As we’re in the book of Philippians this week, I bring you to Philippians 1:11: “being filled with fruits of Righteousness.” The root word of righteousness is to do right, be right. God wants my life today to be right. If I can be right this way with God, I’ll be this right this way with you.

I want to be right with people today. You know, this old self-will, the selfishness and pride, gets in the way. But if I would decrease and He will increase (John 3:30), I must decrease. He must increase. And when He increases in my life, I can have fruits of righteousness today. Make deposits on the journey of life today with seeds of righteousness, fruits of righteousness that will flourish. Do right in a marriage, in a home and a family, at the job, and your church. Let’s all do right, as Dr. Bob Jones used to say, till the stars fall.

Live in righteousness today. God bless you.
