Thank you for joining us on Help For Today. I’d like to give you a verse from 1 Thessalonians, chapter number 5. It’s one of the shortest verses in all the Bible. You probably know it: “Pray without ceasing.”
You know, this chapter is normally known for the chapter about Jesus coming back and His soon coming return for you and me. But you and I, what are we supposed to do in the meantime? What do we do while we’re waiting for Christ’s return? Well, we can pray without ceasing. What does that mean? When you and I are on the mountaintops and when our jobs are going great, bills are paid, the car’s running fine, everything’s going great, you and I can pray. But when we’re in the valleys and we’re having hardships—maybe you’ve lost a loved one, maybe you’re going through a trial, or you’ve lost your job—you can pray.
Whether you’re starting out in your ministry and it’s just beginning, I hope that you would go on your knees and pray. Or whether you’re towards the end of your ministry looking to retirement, you can always pray, ask for God’s help and His guidance in our time of need. Thank you for joining us on Help for Today.
