Encouragement. That’s really the purpose behind these Help For Today videos and really the entire Help For Today, I guess we could call it, organization.
Everything that is under that Help For Today label, the articles and everything else. We want to be an encouragement in your life. There’s a Bible verse in the book of Proverbs that says, “heaviness in the heart of a man maketh it stoop, but a good word, a good word maketh it glad.” That’s a word of encouragement.
You and I might not be able to be everything, but we can be this. We can be an encourager. And I’m coming to you today on behalf of encouraging one another in the Lord.
The reason this is on my heart is because you have encouraged me. We’ve started, I said, Help For Today to be an encouragement to those who would get this content. But it’s amazing, even today, as I sit here in my office and even before I got to the office, through email and different messages I received from people in this country and then other countries, “hey, I’m listening to your videos and watching. I’m reading the articles and they’ve been a blessing and I appreciate that. Keep the content coming.” And I tell you what that did, that encouraged me.
And then I walked down the hallway and I told Brother Moyer and Ethan and those men who helped get this on and Aaron, those men who helped get this out to you. And it encouraged them. And that’s how we do this thing together.
We are in this fight together as Christians. We are going the same direction. We’re on the same team. We’re all pressing toward the same mark. And we’re gonna spend all eternity together up in heaven. And we need to encourage one another on the way.
What a blessing it is to help lift someone up, to help keep somebody standing, to help get somebody back in this thing, to let them know they’re making a difference. And that is what you have done in my heart today. And I want to do that for you as well.
Brethren, let’s encourage one another. I hope this has been a help in your Christian life today.
